committment to utilize packaging materials created from
renewable resources and recycled content.

The Security Factor
Clamshell Alternatives
If your looking for an option to the traditional plastic
clamshell that also meets theft prevention goals, we have
just the solution. NatralockT from MeadWestvaco, a
proprietary paperboard using a patented coating process
which applies a heat-seal material, as well as a second,
more tear-resistant material for high dollar value
applications. Graphics are then printed on the highly
receptive clay coated surface. These graphics, taking
advantage of more surface area (versus traditional
clamshells), have a billboard effect that greatly enhances
point-of-purchase impact. Eliminate the bulk of the plastic
material that would have been used in a clamshell, use a
recycled material for the minimal amount of plastic
packaging remaining (a product blister) and we've just
created an environmentally friendly package.
Popular With Consumers
Natralock is more consumer friendly (and safer) than
clamshells. Standard kitchen scissors will open a Natralock
package safely and conveniently. Opening a clamshell
package has never been easy (by design) and is often both
frustrating and risky.
Switching Is Easy
And Cost-Efficient
It is easy to switch to Natralock and that is another good
reason to consider it. This product can be sealed with
standard heat or RF sealing machines. In many cases, you
will see a reduction in sealing/production time.
